It's an Amazon Shopping Season as Spending Rises in November – But Overall Holiday Growth Rate Lower Than 2010

Consumer spending is rising in November according to the latest ChangeWave survey, but the holiday shopping growth rate is proving below that of last year. ChangeWave Research is a division of The 451 Group.

The survey of 2,691 U.S. consumers, completed November 13, shows a surge in two key spending areas, as well as a significant improvement in confidence and expectations. The biggest beneficiary here appears to be Amazon (AMZN), as it continues to grow its overall dominance of the online shopping space.
