iPad Demand Takes Tablet Industry by Storm - And New Owners Weigh in on Latest Apple Tablet

It's been four months since the Kindle Fire launched to great fanfare and a ChangeWave survey showed Amazon leaping to number two among tablet manufacturers. But now in the aftermath of the new iPad release, what is the outlook for the tablet industry going forward?

To find out, ChangeWave conducted a March 8-15 survey of 1,476 consumers – begun the day after Apple's iPad announcement – that looks at consumer tablet demand and the impact the new iPad is having on the industry. ChangeWave Research is a service of 451 Research.

Along with the tablet demand survey – which focused primarily on North American consumers – this report also contains the results of a March 22-28 survey of 200 new iPad owners that looked at user opinions and reactions to the new tablet device.
