We recently looked at smart home trends and found Smart Home Monitoring (52%) and Smart Thermostat (52%) are by far the most popular types of devices/services among respondents planning to use home automation technologies.
Wireless Satisfaction Ratings
For the first time in eight years, we are seeing across-the-board upticks in Very Satisfied ratings for the major wireless providers. Verizon leads the industry, with 40% of their subscribers reporting they’re Very Satisfied, followed by T-Mobile.
Too Many Unwanted Channels
In a continuation of a trend we have been tracking for years, 33% of consumers say the biggest problem they experience with their TV service is having Too Many Unwanted Channels – up 3-pts to its all-time high.
Biggest Problems Experienced
When asked about the biggest problem they experience with their Internet service at home, we found one-in-three (31%) respondents citing Slow Speed, followed by Outages and Service Issues (11%).
Demand for Phablets
Demand for large screen devices continues to rise. In a recent survey, we found that a total of 62% of planned smart phone buyers now say they prefer a 5 inch screen or larger – up 2-pts from previously to a new record high.
